Featuring Colum Amory, Director of the Division of Cerebrovascular Disease at HUMC and Professor of Neurology at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.
This course will review real life cases and data about the role importance of EMS care and in stroke patient survival. Together we will discuss stroke assessments, identify conditions that mimic strokes, and evaluate the real life data that proves the effectiveness of early notification to Emergency Departments from EMS. We will also reveal the new alert system being used by HUMC EMS that has led to these great outcomes and show how other agencies can utilize it.
